The Life Plan Humboldt project is at the very beginning of the design process. Acquiring the land has been the first step. If things move smoothly it will take 4-6 years to get to a move-in date.

The Affordable Senior Housing part on the Life Plan Humboldt campus will be built and managed by a separate nonprofit on a parcel split off from the 14.58 acres. We have begun discussions with Rural Communities Housing Nonprofit Development Corporation (RCHDC) to build and manage the housing, and we hope to work with them on the design of the apartments and cottages they will build with Federal funding. It will be some time before that project moves forward.

The process for signing up for the affordable rental housing will depend on the funding source for development and will be reported in our monthly newsletter. The July newsletter has a link to an article about the steps in the next phase of our development.
