The LPH board is currently examining several locations for our building site. We are also looking toward the next steps of development.
Soon we will need to raise funds to pay for the financial and operational plans and the initial designs for LPH.
It is also important to both grow our mailing list locally and to your friends and family who are interested in retiring to Humboldt.
Feedback from Surveys Many thanks, to the 174 people who have already completed the survey.
So far:
· 83% would like indoor exercise facilities
· 81% favor having a community garden
· 75% want a library with comfortable seating
Other highly ranked amenities: picnic areas (60%), space for visiting practitioner (58%) and an arts and crafts studio (56%).
Most respondents favor easy walking distance to markets and services, along with walkways and bike paths.

Environmentally sustainable design is supported by 87%. That is a mandate consistent with the values adopted by the Life Plan Humboldt Board of Directors. We also appreciate the many helpful comments we received along with this survey.

In the a LoCo article from Aug. 14, 2020, Dr. Ann Lindsay stated that you all are searching for property for this senior life plan community.
Have you considered the old Jacobs school site in Eureka? I’m not certain if it would meet the retired acreage, but it would be a fantastic neighborhood to lift up bring together the community.
Unfortunately this property is. Or large enough. We have currently narrowed our search to a property in Arcstacand one in McKinleyville. But we are always open to new ideas.
