Family brought me to Humboldt County during COVID. I moved my 100 year old mother Muriel from our home in Arizona to be near my brother, who’s been here since 1970 something. This place is of course beautiful and tranquil, and I love the creative soul, but it’s probably genetics that draw my interest in the Humboldt Life Plan community.
Muriel died last year at 102, healthy and intact to the end. And I do carry some of her genes! I have seen the inevitable changes of aging, the ways in which total independence moves out of reach, and I embrace the beauty of planning for myself a graceful and charming future. I want to remain connected, to have opportunities to learn and to be of service. This Life Plan concept is practical, within my reach and wonderfully appealing.
