We arrived in Humboldt County in the 70s as part of the “Back to the Land movement.” We’ve had many wonderful chapters in our lives – children, homestead, orchards, small businesses, and community involvement at the ground level in many still-thriving organizations in Southern Humboldt.

We moved to McKinleyville in February 2020 just weeks before the lock down. I was looking forward to finding a way to participate in our new community but it wasn’t until we heard about Life Plan this year, 2023, that a spark was ignited in me. I am very interested in the possibilities of living in a communal environment that I will be able to help plan. I love living in this area near my grandchildren and think that an intentional community is a good option for our family. Jeff and I cared for my Mother and my Aunt for 7 years so we know what that requires. Life Plan makes sense to us as a long term health care option.

I am excited about about the chapters in our future and to be an Ambassador for Life Plan.
