My personal interest in Life Plan Humboldt comes from lived experience caring for my parents.
When they moved here to be near me, my mother was 75 and my father was 80. They both lived to be nearly 100. Caring for them, became an increasing part of my life for more than 10 years. As both witness and participant in their aging lives, I learned far more than I ever imagined needing to know. What I know now is that even under the best circumstances – good health, resources, family – “it takes a village” to optimally navigate long-term aging. We can only try to imagine what we don’t know, and actually plan for it ahead of the curve. One reason for this challenge can be attributed to the fact of our limited options here. Life Plan Humboldt could become the option we need. The concept and design of an aging-in-place community is one that, quite simply, makes sense. Just think of how different our conversations might be about life’s final stage, if we had a plan to actually look forward to!
Stay tuned to Life Plan Humboldt.
